Types of events

What kind of events can I access when I become a member?

District

Districts either provide yearly event calendars or announce get-togethers at short notice in an informal way. Look out for invites on your District Group or post your own event. Meet up in-person or online, learn something new while having fun or enjoy an outdoor adventure – there is something for everyone.

Monthly

Check out the AFWJ Event Calendar to see what's organized by AFWJ members, whether they reside in Japan or overseas. Pottery, yoga, hikes, sketch sessions, quiz nights, and much more. ZEST is a monthly Zoom session that enables members far and wide to meet each other.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) occasionally hold events. These range from charity cycle rides to book clubs and yoga. Once you are a member, be sure to check out our Special Interest Groups page to find something that interests you.

Yearly

Members - domestic and overseas - look forward to a weekend of fun, learning and friendship at The AFWJ National Convention. Events kick off with a Friday dinner and often include workshops, panel discussions, outings, and a lively cabaret. Come along. We will love to meet you!

We also have some fun Project Initiatives that get busy for birthdays or in the holiday season that you can join, too.
